What is AI, and what can computers do? The hype would have us all believe that humans will be obsolete within a decade. The reality is not quite that extreme, but is still quite impressive. A good example of progress and remaining challenges is self-driving cars, which have been under development for decades and are on a continued trajectory of improvement, but not quite ready yet.
